Apple's Magic Mouse

Yesterday I turned my Magic Mouse off and put it away.
Although it looks very nice, it gives me sore hands. It's just too small/flat!
I started using my "old" Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 again.

This mouse is a bigger and a lot more comfortable to hold.
Apple has such nice looking and easy to use equipment, why can't they design a comfortable mouse, instead of one that only looks good?

I don't think I'll be switching back to the Magic Mouse anytime soon.

Chatroulette

This week I first joined Chatroulette.com.

It's a website that allows you to chat with other users using your webcam.
The thing is, though, that you have NO control over who you're gonna talk to!
That's why it's called roulette. The software connects you to random people.

Let me tell you. In the 3 days I've tried it, I've seen 100 (half) naked men masturbating, 400 men looking bored and 10 women.

Since I wasn't interested in talking to men, and the women (all 10 of them) weren't interested in talking to me, I had no conversation at all!
None, whatsoever.

Chatting with the cam on isn't that nice anyway.
You can't really relax, pick your nose or yawn. So I prefer chatting with the cam off.

Unless, of course, your chat partner is one hot babe!

Painful

It's been 9 days ago since I bought my iMac. And to be honest, I'm totally in love with it.

Why?
Well first off all, it looks really great. I mean, it's design is beautiful. No more big ugly computer tower in my room, but only this great looking screen.
And it's so much faster compared to my old Intel Pentium 4!

Plus there's Mac OS X. This operating system looks much better than Windows or Linux.
I still have to get used to it though. I mean, I've been using Windows for 20 years. And lots of things just work different in Mac OS X. Some better, some not.
For example: I like Windows Explorer better than Finder in Mac OS X. In Windows it's easier to copy and paste stuff and to move folders around. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.

And even though the Apple keyboard and Magic Mouse look really cool, they too need time to get used to.
The keyboard is really small and so is the mouse. So it kinda hurts your hands after using them all night.
And why is it that when we're talking about the screen, it's the bigger the better. And when it comes to keyboard and mouse, it has to be as small as posible?!

My old PC, when it still had Windows XP on it, took minutes and minutes to boot up.
Last time I was at my mother, I noticed how long it took to start up her Windows Vista laptop. It took ages!
But my iMac takes exactly 30 seconds to start up! Which is really fast if you're used to a Windows machine.

And where my PC sounded like a vacuum cleaner, I can't even hear my iMac. It's so quiet!

So yeah, plenty of reasons to love this new computer of mine. :)

First impression

I've been a Windows user for nearly 20 years, but I finally made the switch.
As of today, I am the proud owner of a 21.5 inch iMac!
And believe me, I totally love this machine. The only thing I really have to get used to, is the keyboard.
It's so different from the old one I had. I'm constantly pressing the wrong keys. But I guess that'll change after a while.

Ok, that's it for now. I'm gonna play a bit more with this sexy machine. ;)

21.5 inch iMac

I'm so excited! Tomorrow I'm going to buy my very first Mac!

My current computer is an 8 year old Pentium 4. It used to run on Windows XP, but it got so slow that I removed it and installed Linux on it.
I have to say, it's a lot faster now, running Linux, than it was when it still had Windows on it.
But still, it's an 8 year old computer which even has problems with 480p Youtube videos. And watching 720p or 1080p is totally out of the question.
So time for a new one.
And after using Windows PC's for nearly 20 years, I thought I'd try an Apple computer this time.

So yeah. Tomorrow I'm going to buy the brand new 21.5 inch iMac with the 2.5GHz quad-core Intel core i5 "Sandy Bridge" processor and 4 GB of RAM.
It also has the new ultra fast Thunderbolt port! (10Gbps!!)

Tomorrow night I'll let you guys know what I think of it!

I SWEAR I WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP!!!

Whore

Balcony by iwan073
Balcony, a photo by iwan073 on Flickr.
I feel like a whore.
Seems I'm willing to do just about anything for some cash. Virtual cash, that is.

I started a blog. This one, actually.
And I took an account on flickr.

All that to earn some money on Empire Avenue.

So now I have a flickr account, I guess I better start taking some pictures then.
And even though I love taking pictures, I always seem to forget!

Today I found this cool effect on my phone camera which makes the objects in my pictures look like miniatures.
Pretty cool if you ask me.

Check out the picture and tell me what you think?

Blogs

So, what is it people write about on blogs? I have no idea.
What's a blog anyway? A long twitter message? Like my new friend Kevin Green said.
Or an e-mail to no one in particular?
Or is it a diary of some sort? The sort that you do want people to read.

I guess I'm not really sure where I'm heading with this new blog of mine.
Not even sure I like the title...

If anyone is reading this:
How do you like the title I chose? What do you think I mean with it?

Please, leave a comment behind?
